Happy New Year my Spooktacular friends!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year.  We parted ways with 2025 with a handful of friends, a lot of wildly unhealthy food and drink choices, and some “fantastic” karaoke.

This is going to be a relatively short blog this time as I just wanted to give you a little progress update.  As I mentioned in the last post, I was going to TRY to get a new episode out around the beginning of the month, but we had a few temporary setbacks.

Back on December 12th, we had a recording session planned to get Episodes 29 and 30 squared away, but due to some technical issues, we started much later than we had planned, so we only had time to record one.  This session had a new voice actor joining us for Ep 30, who had a bit of a time constraint, so we recorded that one first… but then it was too late to record 29.  Follow that up with busy schedules, events, holidays, and seasonal sicknesses, and I’m left missing the necessary episode to move forward.

However, jump to this past Saturday (January 3rd), and we were able to record not only Episode 29, but also 31.

So, I have a LOT of editing to do, but I have enough recorded that I should be able to get all of these squared away to release on a schedule, and do some writing in between.

Related to that - one of my personal setbacks in regards to writing and editing is being stuck at this desk. The space I am typing to you from is my studio. Which is also where I do my regular day job of tech support. Which is also where I do my twitch streams. Which is also the only place I can write and edit. You see where I'm going with this? Oftentimes, at the end of a work day, I've been stuck in this room for so long that I don't want to be in here anymore. But, the good news is that I got a nice, simple, basic laptop for Xmas that will run my editing programs. So now, I can write and edit literally anywhere I want. That's going to be a game changer.

Anyway, that’s all for now.  I’ll be doing some editing streams live on Twitch in the near future, so keep an eye out on the Discord for that.

Until then,

Stay Spooky!

-JD
